Solar PV systems have been around now for quite some time, over
this period we have seen a significant increase in the available

Lexden Wood Golf Club is part of a larger group “Play Golf &
Golf Catcher”, who are wanting to get a grip of their energy
costs. In recent months they have seen their energy costs rise to
£23,000 +VAT per month making it very difficult to sustain the
business running costs long term.
Our full Solar PV system was priced at £450,000 including
installation, producing in excess of 259,000KWh of energy per
year, bringing their payback time to 1.8 years and reducing their
energy consumption by over 95%.
We were able to advise and update their full internal and external
lighting packages to help reduce energy further, ensuring that
they are reducing the business running costs long-term.
Living Light is a retail lighting shop in Poole, back in 2019 we began the
project to upgrade the external lighting including signage lighting.
The cost for the entire project including, car park lighting, sign lighting and
security lighting was £4,500 +VAT.
With the business saving £3000 per year on energy at the rate of 43p/KWh. The payback time for this project was only 1.5 years, while helping the business stand out from its local competitors.
Using our TCS and ALS software, the building was lit every evening
without fail throughout the last two winter months, with charge levels
between 50-100% during the winter months.
The school had some very old domestic-styled solar lighting to illuminate some pillars along a walkway entrance to the school. Unfortunately, these weren’t powerful enough to illuminate the connecting car park, and certainly weren’t robust enough to work well throughout the winter months. On top of all this the cost of an electrical install, chasing the cables out to the car park and installing a mains powered area light was well in excess of £1500, which was far outside the schools budget.
We therefore offered our latest solar option, we went through the technical specifications, visited the school to check the proposed area and priced the full install for less than one third of what was originally quoted.
Not only that but the school would have not additional electrical cost for the light itself and reduce their carbon consumption as a consequence.
Needless to say that the school was overjoyed with this option and proceeded with the quote.
